HR Business Support Assistant, Portsmouth
Salary: £16,575 per annum (£11,050 pro-rata salary per annum)
25 hours per week (ideally 5 hours per day Monday to Friday, can be flexible) - Permanent
The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is recruiting for a HR Business Support Assistant to join the HR and Organisational Development team at the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Portsmouth.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the HR team with maintenance of workforce data and records including responsibility for the recruitment process administration including workforce controls; processing payroll information; issuing contracts and pre-employment checks, preparing recruitment packs, electronic files, updating our new people system, etc. as well as overseeing the administration of general HR enquiries and filing; whilst ensuring all HR data/information is kept confidentially and complies with GDPR.
• To learn more about HR and organisational development (including staff and volunteers).
• Work within a varied role offering vital support to the business working within a unique heritage environment.
• Support the implementation of our new people system and act as the systems administrator.
• Be part of a small friendly team.
Applicants must enjoy administration work and be competent across a range of administrative tasks operating Windows-based software, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and have an interest in Human Resources.
Previous administrative work experience is essential, and applicants should understand the importance of handling sensitive personal information.
In addition, the ability to organise and prioritise workload, meet changing demands and comply with tight deadlines is essential.

A perfect cross-curricular workshop at the most magical time of year, ideal for Key Stage 1. Travel back in time to experience all the sights and smells of Christmas past, with food, decorations and traditional toys. Pupils will get the opportunity to immerse themselves in life on board ship with role-play and dressing up.
