February Half Term at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

Get ready for a fun-filled February half term at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with plenty of activities for the whole family. 

This year we welcome Lego Shipbuilding back!

Be inspired by the mighty HMS Warrior, the first iron-hulled battleship, and get ready to build your own LEGO version. 

You'll also have the chance to meet Captain Hardy, Lord Nelson's second in command, and hear about the lives of officers and men onboard HMS Victory.  And then, you will also be able to uncover mystery objects linked to the ship with our detective activity on the Lower Gun Deck.

Have fun taking part in one of these exciting activities or take it easy on a Harbour Tour as you explore Portsmouth by water.

Step onboard HMS Warrior and take inspiration from your surroundings to design and build some future out of this world Lego ships.

No design experience needed, just a great imagination!

Drop in any time between 11am- 4pm, suitable for all ages and free with a valid ticket.


Meet Captain Hardy

Tuesday 18 February

Head to the Captain's Cabin onboard HMS Victory to chat to, Lord Nelson's second in command, Captain Hardy. He'll tell you all about what life was like onboard HMS Victory.

Afterward head to the Lower Gun Deck and use your detective skills to uncover mystery ship objects.

Drop in to see the Captain in his cabin from 11am-1pm and 2-4pm.
