When: From 01 June 2019 until 02 June 2019, 10:00 - 17:30
Location: Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

Head to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for D-Day Revisited on the 1 and 2 of June, 2019.

This weekend of re-enactments, music and Second World War ships will commemorate and give insight to one of Second World War's greatest tipping points, the landings that liberated France and then Europe.

A Higgins Landing Craft and a DUKW will be on display alongside Dunkirk little ships and other vessels used on D-Day that left from Portsmouth to travel over to Normandy. There will also be plenty of opportunity to visit the historic boats along with a dozen Dunkirk little ships which will be joining us alongside newly installed pontoons for the weekend.

Music will be performed by The Royal Navy Band and a range of 1940s inspired acts singing music from the period. There will be singing and dancing by The Polka Dots, The Charlalas and dancing with Company B.

Re-enactment groups will include Ubique ROL, a Second World War artillery group; Deco In Style, an RAF operations room display and The Royal Navy Beachhead Commando Group.

It's a chance to look at a snapshot of history up close while commemorating the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

This event is free. Normal site admission rules apply. Book tickets online to visit all our attractions and make a weekend of it!
