What is Burns Night?
Annually celebrated in Scotland, Burns Night commemorates the life of bard Robert Burns who was born on 25 January 1759. The day also celebrates all things Scottish including likes to culture and the arts.

What does Burns Night entail?
Traditionally, groups will hold a Burns supper which can be an informal or formal event. This can include a mixture of toasts, readings and spoken word. Afterwards, a haggis (a type of sausage prepared in a sheep’s stomach) will be presented to the group, accompanied by bag pipes.

Individuals will then enjoy a reading of ‘Address to Haggis,’ a classic ode written by Robert Burns. The ode finishes and the haggis is sliced with a two course meal served.

Tickets are no longer available for the event.
