Commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day

Join us for a summer programme of events to mark and commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

D-Day, part of the Normandy landings, was an operation on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 that marked the beginning of the liberation of German-occupied France from Nazi control.

Codenamed Operation Neptune, but more popularly known as D-Day, the landings were the largest seaborne invasion in history. The Allied invasion of Normandy was a part of Operation Overlord during the Second World War and helped secure an Allied victory on the Western Front.
