The Historic Dockyard is less than 5 miles from Junction 12 of the M27. Follow the brown Historic Waterfront signs from the M275 into Portsmouth. Save on Saturday's new Park and Ride!
A new Saturday Park and Ride service will operate on Saturdays and Public Holidays. Shoppers and visitors to Portsmouth will be able to park at Lakeside North Harbour and travel to the City Centre and Gunwharf Quays/the Historic Dockyard on the park and ride bus. It will cost only £2.50 for a car and up to 7 passengers! The first bus will start at 9am and the last bus will leave the Hard at 6pm. From the site, buses take about seven minutes to get to the city centre. The next stop, about five minutes later, is Gunwharf Quays, for the Spinnaker Tower and the Historic Dockyard. Users can hop between the two stops as much as they like.

Coach parking - for further information about coach parking please contact our Advanced Sales Department on 023 9283 9766 or e-mail us. The majority of national coach services to Portsmouth stop at the Hard Interchange (adjacent to Historic Dockyard entrance).
Bus
Many local and regional bus services stop at the Hard Interchange (adjacent to Historic Dockyard entrance). Please visit First Bus, Stagecoach or Bluestar Bus services for the most up to date routes and timetables.
Rail
South West Trains run frequent trains from London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour, with a journey time of only 90 minutes. There are also regular services to and from Southampton Central with links to the South West and the West country. Portsmouth Harbour train station is only 200 yards from the entrance to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Ferry services operate from France, Spain, the Isle of Wight and Gosport on a regular basis.
