The best value option with a saving of up to 75%, is our All Attraction ticket which gives unlimited entry for 12 months to all our attractions on site (excluding special events). Gift Aid allows the charity-owned attractions to reclaim the tax. Please gift aid your ticket purchase so we can claim this much-needed income back from the Government, simply opt in when purchasing your tickets online or via our Visitor Centre.
HMS Victory and the National Museum Royal Navy Portsmouth is free to serving personnel and up to four members of their family. Personnel will be asked to produce valid ID and will then be issued with a ticket. It is essential that personnel go to the Visitor Centre on arrival rather than boarding the ship directly. Please note this offer is not valid for special events. Serving personnel can also receive 25% off either an Adult All Attraction ticket or an Adult Single Attraction ticket for themselves only. Personnel must present valid MOD90 (or other country equivalent). We do not accept defence discount cards.
Dogs are not permitted into the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard due to a Naval Base byelaw, with the exception of guide and registered assistance dogs.
There are a number of retailers on site including Nauticalia, the Mary Rose Shop, Antiques Storehouse and the National Museum Royal Navy Museum Portsmouth shop.
A family ticket is for a maximum of 2 adults or 2 seniors plus a maximum of 3 children between the ages of 5 and 15. If you have 4 or more children in your group, additional child tickets will have to be purchased. Students are also not permitted on the family ticket.
There are a number of benches situated throughout the site with two main picnic areas. One is situated alongside HMS Victory and the other is by the Porter’s Garden.
We are unable to cater for bikes on site, however there are some bike racks just outside our main gate which you can lock your bike to.
The HMS Victory team are able to conduct out of hours tours on selected dates during the year. These tours last for 1 hour and are tailored to a group’s individual needs. Private tours are charged at a flat rate of £360 per guide and then £12 per person attending. For ease of movement around the ship, each guide can take no more than 20 people on a tour. During guided tours on HMS Victory it is not always possible to accommodate requests for photography during the tour because of time constraints but the guide will be able to advise you. However when visiting during free flow, photography is permissible except in certain areas which are highlighted on board. Flash photography is not permitted on HMS Victory and in the Mary Rose.
Luggage cannot be left unattended anywhere on the Historic Dockyard site as we are part of a working military base. If you have luggage that you cannot carry with you, there is a small shop on The Hard called "Victory News" just outside the Dockyard gates that will hold luggage for you.
The Harbour Tour leaves from the jetty alongside HMS Warrior 1860 (subject to availability).
There is lots to do for all ages at each attraction including family trails, storytelling, creative activities, details about events can be found on our events page. Action Stations has over 30 interactive hands-on exhibits and there are pushchair parks on site.
The age for a child ticket is between 5 to 15 years old. Under 5s are free.

Portsmouth Harbour train station is only 200 yards from the entrance to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
If you are unable to print your email confirmation for whatever reason, you may either show it on your mobile device to the staff in the Visitor Centre, or have your order number to hand.
If you purchased your ticket before 11th April 2016 and cannot access your e-ticket online, simply print out the booking confirmation email and bring it with you when you visit.
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard offers a unique range of historic and modern venues for group visitors seeking to make their visit even more special. Pre-booked groups of a minimum of 15 people are eligible for advanced group rates and gain the best level of discount. Groups who have not pre-booked will be charged a basic group rate on the day of the visit. There is no maximum, but large groups will be divided into parties of 30 for the Mary Rose and HMS Victory. Group tickets are valid for one day only and give access to the six attractions. Further details can be found on our groups and learning page.
