The Mary Rose Trust is currently under-taking a £35 million heritage project to build an internationally-renowned museum. The ship, together with her collection of almost 19,000 artefacts, placed in context, will next be open to the public in Autumn 2012 in a brand new boat-shaped museum. Until the opening of the new Museum, a selection of artefacts are being shown in a small museum by the entrance to the Historic Dockyard. It’s a fascinating look at everyday shipboard life from almost 500 years ago.
