Starring role for HMS Warrior 1860 in “How to look good naked.”

Portsmouth’s well-known Victorian warship HMS Warrior 1860 plays an unusual and starring role in this week’s “How to look good naked” on Channel 4 as popular TV host Gok Wan uses Queen Victoria’s famous ship as a venue for an extraordinary wardrobe clear-out.

 

Fans of the programme, due to be broadcast on Tuesday 29th at 20.00hrs, will see Gok declaring his own kind of battle on the clothes and underwear of this week’s participant, throwing items – not considered up to scratch by the well known lifestyle guru – overboard.

 

The team from Channel 4 were in the city earlier this year to film the episode and used the Historic Dockyard and neighbouring Gunwharf Quays as a backdrop.   

 

Who knows what Queen Victoria would have made of it!  Warrior’s Captain Ken Jones declared: “She may not have been amused!  We, on the other hand, had a great day with the team and are really looking forward to seeing the ship in all her glory.”
