Visitors to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard can learn what is was like to be a diver discovering the Mary Rose as they are encouraged to take part in a scuba diving challenge, ''Try Dive,'' outside the Mary Rose Museum, on Saturday 1 – Sunday 2 August.
In the shadow of the Mary Rose Museum and in front of Henry VIII himself, visitors will be assisted by instructors from Adventure College, Portsmouth''s premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre, in retrieving replica artefacts place at the bottom of the pool.
Taking part in the ‘Try Dive’ costs £5 on the day, minimum age 10 years old. No experience is necessary and all equipment will be provided.
