News release issued: 12th March 2009

Friday 13th March is Comic Relief and there are a number of influential statues who will be wearing red noses to mark the occasion.

The Henry VIII statue outside the Mary Rose Museum will be wearing a ‘giant’ red nose as will the Admiral John Benbow figurehead and HMS Warrior 1860s figurehead.

As well as these iconic landmarks, staff from many of the attractions will also be wearing red noses and there will be the opportunity to buy cakes, tea and coffee and have you face-painted alongside HMS Victory with all proceeds going to Comic Relief.
