Unique archive image collection launched online

The National Museum of the Royal Navy has made their unique collection of images available for you to print and buy online for the first time.

The Museum has launched a new ‘print-on-demand’ website print.nmrn.org.uk which gives you a choice of over three hundred digitised and fully licenced images that you can select, customise and print on an item of your choice. The site allows you to browse through the National Museum’s image collection, and then create your own unique gift for friends and family. By logging on, you’ll be able to see the full range of products available from canvas art prints, greeting cards, tea towels, mugs, magnets and more. All the images have been divided into specific themes, from the First and Second World Wars, HMS Victory and even animals and satirical caricatures.

Professor Dominic Tweddle, Director General of the National Museum of the Royal Navy said, “We’re very pleased to be able to offer this additional service to our loyal customers. We believe that the opportunity to create your own souvenir or gift is a fantastic way to show off our wonderful archive collection. We hope it will become a successful source of revenue for the charity, enabling us to digitise and add more images to the online collection.”.
