Self-Guided Discovery Visits
A Discovery Visit is a self-guided visit to any one or a combination of the attractions; Mary Rose Museum, HMS Victory, National Museum of the Royal Navy, HMS Warrior 1860 and Action Stations. Be inspired by unique historic ships and fascinating museum collections to explore over 800 years of compelling Naval history.

Mary Rose Museum - Spring/Summer 2012 News and New Museum:
Visit before Easter 2012 – last chance to see the amazing collection of real Tudor artefacts until 2013!
Summer Term 2012 – we offer a new programme of activity-based days whilst the current museum is much reduced due to the move to the new museum. A day or half day of activity sessions led by our team will allow pupils to use the Mary Rose story as a context for their work. The museum will offer a variety of opportunities for pupils to interact with staff and volunteers with replica artefact handling stations, question and answer sessions, the film and ship presentation. Why not combine a Mary Rose activity session with a visit to one of the other attractions in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard?
Autumn Term 2012 – during this transition period, outreach visits and distance learning will be available.
Spring 2013 – the new museum will be open for school visits. Details of the Learning Programme for the new museum will be announced in due course. Please sign up to our e-newsletter to be kept informed.
HMS Victory Guided Tours
During the off-peak season guided tours are included as part of the Discovery Visit and need to be booked in advance. Due to high visitor numbers in the peak season a free-flow system operates and guided tours are not available. Please call us on 023 9283 9766 for information on dates and guided tours to avoid disappointment.

To qualify for discounted rates, a group must comprise of at least 15 people and a booking must be made and paid in full at least 10 days before the visit date.
