Events Assistant Creative Apprenticeship

Have you got bags of energy and a can-do attitude? Can you juggle lots of different jobs all at once and enjoy talking to people?

The National Museum of the Royal Navy is looking for an enthusiastic Events Assistant to act as a point of contact and help organise, market and deliver its wide-ranging events programme.

As part of the Learning Department you’ll be in a busy, friendly team that works across the Museum and with HMS Victory. We’ll need you to take bookings, answer telephone enquiries, plan and set up events, meet and greet visitors, track budgets plus assist with mail-outs and leaflet distribution. You’ll also be the person responsible for maintaining the events calendar and generally letting everyone know what is happening and when!

The post is offered through the Creative Apprenticeship Scheme funded by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and as such all applicants are required to study for an Advanced Apprenticeship in Cultural and Heritage Venue Operations (Level 3) for one day a week at Highbury College, in addition to four days at the Museum.
