Peak Period Costumed Interpreter Visitor Host

The Costumed Interpreter Visitor Host is responsible for welcoming visitors to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and in the main, the role will be customer facing.

You will be required to deliver timed, regular site tours of 40 minutes and you will be required to deliver historically relevant information determined by the buildings and environment of the site in an informative, engaging, accurate and entertaining manner. An excellent knowledge of history is essential along with a friendly engaging personality.

You will work on a 4 day on 4 day off shift pattern from 1030 - 1600 pm between 27th March and the end of September 2010 with the possibility of some additional hours during October half term and during major events held on site.
