3. What is the minimum/maximum group size? 

The minimum group size is 15. Subject to availability, our maximum group size is 200.

4. How far in advance do I need to book?

All groups need to pre-book and make full payment at least 10 days in advance. You can book as early as a year in advance.

5. Can I get a refund if I need to cancel my booking?

No refunds will be given once the full payment has been made.  Therefore it is essential we are given the final number of your group, with your payment, at least 10 days prior to your arrival.

6. When is the best time to visit you?

Our busiest times are during the school holidays and at weekends, so if you would like to avoid the crowds, please book your group visit at other times.

7. Where can I find out more about the special events you have coming up?

More information about the events we have coming up can be found on our events pages here. We do provide up to 15% discount on our group event prices if you book early.

8. Do you offer any added extras for groups?

We pride ourselves on offering unique opportunities for all of our group visitors within our range of historic and modern venues. These include guided and behind the scene tours:

The Mary Rose Museum offers guided tours of the museum lasting for up to 1 hour, led by a costumed guide and offer the chance to handle replica artefacts from the wreckage.

HMS Victory offers exclusive behind the scenes tours of Nelson’s great flagship. See the Great Cabin where the Battle of Trafalgar was planned and the spot where Nelson died.

Both of these are available if pre-requested at the time of booking. There is an extra charge for both of these tours.

9. Is there a coach drop off area nearby?

Coach parking areas and contact numbers are shown in our map. Pick-up times can be allocated on arrival from the Hard interchange. Parking spaces are available on a first come first served basis and can be booked through Advanced Sales with your booking. Coach drivers are given a lunch voucher to spend within our Boathouse No. 7 restaurant.

10. Is there any car parking nearby?

Yes, there are 295 car parking spaces at the Historic Dockyard Car Park, which is situated approximately 400 yards from the main entrance. Click here for more information. This car park is not suitable for coaches.

11. What disabled access is there?

12. How much time should I allow to visit all attractions?

There are lots of attractions on site so we would recommend at least 4 hours to be able to enjoy everything on site. Our group all-inclusive ticket allows entrance to all attractions on the day of your visit only.

13. Do you provide catering packages for groups?

Boathouse No.7

Boathouse No.7 is a spacious and versatile venue that can accommodate up to 350 guests for dinner and 550 for buffet. Food is freshly prepared and cooked on the premises.

Prices shown are based on a minimum of 30 people. Please contact us if there are fewer than 30 people in your group for prices.

Light Refreshments: Tea, Coffee and biscuits - £1.95 per person

The Georgian at Antiques Storehouse

Set in the fine surroundings of the newly refurbished Grade 1 listed building, Storehouse 9, we present 'The Georgian' where groups can enjoy a perfect Georgian tea.

14. Do you provide accommodation packages for groups?

All accommodation prices include an all-inclusive ticket to our attractions valid for the day of the visit.

16. Can you go on the ships?

Yes, an all-inclusive ticket includes entrance to HMS Victory, HMS Warrior 1860.

The Mary Rose Museum is a must-see in its own right

A new museum to house the Mary Rose and reunite her with the thousands of artefacts recovered from the wreck site will be under construction from September 20th 2009, as part of a £35 million project. There will be no access to the ship itself from this date, until the museum is completed in 2012. While the museum is under construction, the Mary Rose will be interpreted in many exciting and imaginative ways within the current museum, right by the main gate,  that will remain open throughout this period, including enhanced displays, interpretation of the hull by our knowledgeable guides and a new introductory film; to give visitors a different, but equally fulfilling, visitor experience.
