'Conferences at Action Stations'

Action Stations 275 seat state of the art auditorium has a Digital projection system for Power Point and DVD operation complete with surround sound, radio microphones and lectern.

A dedicated conference technician for all your AV needs is provided as part of the package, which makes for a highly professional service for any meeting, conference or presentation. A large space is available adjacent to
the auditorium which can be used for registration and product and promotional displays. This area is our science and technology gallery, Inter Action so guests will be able to have fun and fully appreciate the space.

A recent client said, "The conference venue and facilities are fantastic with ample car parking and an on site attraction there is nothing like it throughout Southern England. The venue was much more interesting than a bland hotel".

Within the same building a conference room is available for smaller meetings for between 10 and 100 guests. This room has natural light and a view of Portsmouth Naval Base. This is a very versatile space that can be arranged cabaret or theatre style and can be fitted with screen, multi media
projector, lap top and flip charts.

Full catering facilities are available.

Delegates are given a brief explanation as to how to build a rocket, a budget with which to buy the components and 25 minutes to build it. See who can use the budget the best and achieve the greatest distance.

Or our GPS Trail, leadership skill and communication will help teams hunt for points around the Historic Dockyard and plot your bearings, will you complete the course successfully and be the first team back to base!

HMS Warrior 1860 is a unique wedding venue and undoubtedly one of the most sought after locations on the South Coast. This magnificent and unusual setting offers a spectacular backdrop for photography of your special day.

Two areas of Warrior have a licence to hold weddings and civil partnership ceremonies. The Captains Cabin is ideal for smaller events, seating up to 25 people, while the Officers Half Deck can accommodate up to 100 guests.

Several areas of the ship are then available to hold your reception. Formal dinners from 20 up to 288 guests can be catered for while up to 600 guests can be accommodated with a more casual stand up buffet.

Join us once again for an open air Shakespeare performance to the dramatic backdrop of HMS Victory. Imagine yourself as one of the crew in 1805, where to raise the blood and morale of the men, a performance of /'Henry V/' is acted which sees the British victorious despite facing incredible odds against a superior force. The character /'Chorus/' leads the audience on a journey that shows King Henry raise his banner on French soil, marshal his troops and search his soul before the battle that will see him King of England and France or dead on the battlefield.

Seats are provided on a first come, first served basis. There will be a bar and bring your own picnic!

Austin Healey cars were manufactured from 1956 to 1968 and cars from this period in British car history will be on display at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

Austin Healey manufactured 53,193 cars during their short 12 year production life. There are Austin Healey clubs throughout the world in such countries as the USA, Australia, Sweden, Germany and the UK. The UK club has over 1700 members and events are held from Cornwall to Scotland.

Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

Alzheimer's Society's Memory Walk is the annual flagship fundraising event which encourages the public to enjoy a beautiful sponsored walk to raise
awareness of dementia and to help support the charity.

On Saturday 14th September the Portsmouth Memory Walk will start from Castle Field, the most southern tip of Portsmouth. This sunny seafront spot overlooks the iconic Tudor built Southsea Castle and is bordered by a grassy mound which used to protect the city from naval attacks.

The long walk will follow the seafront towards the magnificent Portsmouth Historic Dockyard passing many sites of interest along the way, including Clarence Pier, the iconic Square Tower and Gunwharf Quays.

After enjoying sights of the Spinnaker Tower and fantastic ships such at HMS Warrior the walk will head towards Victoria Park for a rest and stroll back towards to Southsea.

Traditional fish and chips and old fashioned seaside amusements will await your return. With live music, childrens entertainment, local stalls and seaside refreshments.

Early MG Car Club Visit to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

The Early MG Society, founded in 1992, an independent car club, which caters for MG cars manufactured between 1925 and 1932.

MG is a recognised name in British motorcar history. The Society helps to provide information, advice and assistance to the owners and to spread knowledge about the cars. It provides a forum for the cars to be seen out and about, used and enjoyed.

As far as it is known there are 101 surviving cars from the early, pre 1932 days. The total production was around 1,700 vehicles. Many of the surviving vehicles are still in the United Kingdom and about 65% of the owners of them are members of The Early MG Society.
