This year is the 125th anniversary of SSAFA -the charity that provides help to all serving and ex-serving members of HM Forces and their families and dependents.
To commemorate this occasion and to help raise funds for SSAFA HMS Warrior is hosting a ‘Big Brew’ event on Saturday 20th February when refreshments will be available from the galley on board. In addition to tea, coffee and biscuits, cakes baked by Warrior volunteers and crew, will also be available throughout the day (1030-4 approx).
This event has been organised by Dave Jones a Warrior volunteer and a caseworker for SSAFA Forces-Help, Isle-of-Wight branch. Two other Warrior volunteers, Rusty Jones and Cheri Parsons, plus a team of SSAFA volunteers will assist him. We hope our visitors will partake of the refreshments available in support of this good cause.
Big Brew Events are held all over the world wherever members of the armed forces are serving in order to raise funds.
