The Society for Nautical Research (South) present a one-day conference to commemorate the bicentenary of the return of Captain Matthew Flinders (1774-1814) to England in October 1810. A panel of 6 speakers including scholars and professional hydrographers will explore the wider history of the naval exploration of Australia and of surveying in this period, as well as of Flinders himself.
