'Air Cadet Marching Band '

Oct 29 2009

On Thursday 29th October at 11am - 12noon (1 hour performance), the Air Cadet Marching Band will be performing in Starboard Arena.

The band is formed from the cadets who make up the Air Cadet Organisation (ACO). The majority are from Air Training Corps Squadrons from across the country and we have one cadet from the RAF Section at Wellington School CCF.

Cadets have travelled from all across the country, the furthest being from Northern Scotland near Inverness. The ages of the cadets are between 13 - 20, playing any of the following, traditional marching band instruments, corps of drums, bell lyres and bagpipes. There are 110 cadets performing in the band.

The cadets are all experienced performers playing at local carnivals or prestigious events like a royal garden party at Buckingham Palace.

Lt Cdr Whild - the Commanding Officer of HMS Victory will be taking the salute.
