World War II Weekend at Action Stations
To commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the Bomb damage to boathouse No.6 on the night of the 10th/11th March 1941 (2nd blitz of Portsmouth), now in its second year, Action Stations will be hosting a World War II themed weekend.
Event highlights include a static model boat display by the Surface Warships Association and various display/handling tables provided in partnership with Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower, Priddy’s Hard, Gosport. Get into the wartime atmosphere with 1940’s music, meet wartime characters, find out about the history of Boathouse No.6 on our special interest tour* to find out what it was like when Britain was a war.
