Many people have heard of the Portsmouth Marine Artist W L Wyllie RA (1851-1931), though few know anything of his life and work. Artist Nigel Grundy, a friend of the Wyllie family, has recently published In the Footsteps of W L Wyllie RA: The Old Portsmouth Years’ Trail, 1906-1931. Nigel’s entertaining and illustrated talk will take the audience through the life and work of W L Wyllie RA, the most popular marine artist of his period.
